About
Peggy Malamatinas
Chartered Accountant · Director

- Chartered Accountant — CA ANZ
- Registered Tax Agent — TPB
- Director, Blue Horizon Partners Pty Ltd
- Brighton, Victoria
The best accounting work happens sitting beside a business owner, not across a desk from one. Blue Horizon Partners exists because Peggy believes it.
Peggy learned the trade the thorough way: eleven years in public practice at PPF Partners, the last ones as Manager, across tax, structuring and compliance for hundreds of small businesses at every stage of their lives.
Along the way she noticed the clients doing best were rarely the ones with the cleverest structures. They were the ones whose accountant turned up before decisions instead of after deadlines. When she started Blue Horizon Partners in 2023, that was the whole business plan.
Today she works with health practices, family businesses and professionals from Brighton, over video with clients further afield. The technical side, the CA ANZ membership and the tax agent registration, is the floor. What clients tend to mention first is that she explains things plainly, and answers the phone.
2012
Public practice, PPF Partners
Eleven years advising family businesses, professionals and growing companies, rising to Manager across tax, structuring and advisory.
2023
Blue Horizon Partners, founded
A practice built around the work Peggy loves most: alongside owners, in the business, close enough to matter.
Today
Brighton, Bayside Melbourne
Health practices, family businesses and professionals across Bayside, and over video, across Australia.
How the practice works
Three commitments that shape every engagement, and every invoice.
01
Plain English, every time
Every number comes with a sentence you can act on. If an explanation needs jargon, it isn't finished yet.
02
Proactive, not reactive
Planning happens in May when there's still time to change the outcome, not in October when it's a story. Calls happen when something changes.
03
Deliberately small
You work with Peggy. One relationship, one point of accountability, and no handballing between juniors.
